JEFF: What do you think this class is about?
BRITTA: I don't know. I heard it's about the science of coolness.
TROY: Science of coolness? That sounds like a load of BS.
SHIRLEY: I don't know. I could use some tips on how to be cooler.
Suddenly, the door opens and in walks PROFESSOR RUDOLPH, played by Maya Rudolph. She's dressed in cool, hip clothing and exudes confidence.
PROFESSOR RUDOLPH: Good morning class! Welcome to the science of coolness.
The study group looks at each other in surprise.
JEFF: This is going to be a wild ride.

Abed is walking down the hallway, wearing a fedora and carrying a saxophone case. He sees Jeff coming from the other direction, dressed in a leather jacket and sunglasses.

ABED: But you're just rebelling for the sake of rebelling. That's not cool.

Britta is sitting at a table, surrounded by students. She's wearing a beanie and has a laptop open in front of her.

ABED (O.C): But Britta, you're just jumping on the latest trend without truly understanding the issue. That's not cool.
CUT TO:
INT. GREENDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE - SKATE PARK

ABED: True coolness comes from being oneself.

Fade in:
INT. GREENDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE - CLASSROOM
Professor Rudolph is lecturing the class on the science of coolness.
PROFESSOR RUDOLPH: The science of coolness is about understanding what makes someone attractive and desirable to others. It's not about conforming to the latest trends or trying to fit in with a particular crowd.
Troy raises his hand.
TROY: But how do I know if I'm cool or not?
PROFESSOR RUDOLPH: The answer to that is simple. You are cool if you are comfortable in your own skin and confident in who you are.
Jeff leans over to Shirley.
JEFF: I think I'm starting to understand.
SHIRLEY: Me too.

ABED: Cool is subjective. It's not about fitting into a particular mold or following a certain set of rules.
TROY: But Professor Rudolph said that being yourself is what makes you cool.

The group turns a corner and walks down another hallway.
